The Secret Garden

A stone’s throw away from the city centre is the Plantation Garden on Earlham Road. A lot of people who live in Norwich do not even know it exists. This is a view from the bridge.
The garden is run by volunteers all year round. You can go in either by paying an annual membership fee of £7.50 (which allows you unlimited entry) or £2 each time you visit.
It is lovely this time of year as the flowers come to bloom and the garden is filled with a kaleidoscope of colours. If you need refuge or some peace and quiet, come to the garden. You can gain free entrance if you purchase coffee or tea at the Beech Hotel next to it.
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

Nice garden in the middle of the town. That and run by volunteers makes it a worthwhile stop anywhere. Nice photography.
My daughter, Melinda, has a picture she took on my blog. It is a stunning macro.

Looks a nice place to get away from things. Great place to have a picnic.

Hi, Barb! Yes, the garden is definitely peaceful. You can even hear your own thoughts.

Hi, Gails_man! Yes, on lazy Sundays that’s what people do. Obviously this is only possible in warmer climes.
