Country Life

To experience a little bit of country life, one does not need to completely leave Norwich. Ten minutes from the city centre is South Walsham and this is what you’ll find. Open space and freedom! Just to breathe.

Lovely skies and a lovely view. This was taken from my bedroom window. It’s not everyday we get to enjoy blue skies in this neck of the woods. So when we do, we take advantage of it!

These are trees in the park outside my house. I took this photo in the spring. I know I’m a season late but I didn’t want to wait for next year to post this. They remind me of cotton candy or as they call it in the UK candy floss. They are just so beautiful and the blossoms are to be admired for a very limited period.

This side street cafe on Palace Road reminds me of cafes in Strasbourg (France) and Brussels (Belgium). Having had a lovely time in those two cities, I couldn’t help taking this photo.

Walking home one evening I noticed how remarkably nostalgic St Peter’s St makes me feel in the evening. The city dons a different cloak of beauty when darkness envelops it.
One of the things I truly appreciate about Norwich is the security I feel walking down its streets whatever the time of day or night. I have never felt physically threatened while admiring this charming city at night.
