Today is August theme day: A Typical Breakfast. This is the menu board from Frankie & Benny’s on riverside where you can get a nice breakfast to start your day.
Breakfast starts at 10am? Here a lot of restaurants stop serving breakfast around 10:30 or 11am (although some will have an all day breakfast special available till closing time).
Hi, Rich. Thanks for visiting. A little sleep? Guess again. Norwich has a pace all its own. My very first Sunday in Norwich was in May 2003. I was really shocked. It was like a virtual ghost town at 830am on a Sunday morning. Saturdays are a bit better, but they do like they lie-ins.
Hi Zannnie, thanks for the visit! I haven’t been inside Frank and Benny’s, but if it’s a typical English fry-up, then it’s going to be greasy and not really my kind of breakfast. However, the Brits love it!
Joy, thanks for the response & the visit to Wassenaar. I’m not against a late start at all, especially on the weekend!
Re: the link, I got the list of links from the CDP forum, if you weren’t included you should let the forum authors know … hope you’re participating in the September theme day!
Of course I’m participating at every theme day! Before joining CDP, I kind of surveyed people’s blogs and really found it intriguing. I was so looking forward to my first theme day
Anyway, I now found out that I need to register to the theme each month. However, people’s lists of CDP blogs are not up to date, and therefore I’m not on their side bar. How disappointing.
I didn’t think you were against a late start at the weekend. I am!
The first thing I noticed in your photo was the missing tail on the “b” in bar … Like others 10am threw me at first as well … However, on the weekend I start my breakfast a little latter and often have brunch combining breakfast and lunch …
I am pleased to see you have received several comments on your theme day breakfast post. Also, that Gerald from Hyde DP has included your link in his updated list of theme day participants. I few of us update our post with Gerald’s list … I recommend you register for the August 1st theme day as soon as you can (the portal and forum) appear to be down at present however I am they will come up shortly … It appears you have resolved most of your specific concerns. I will send you an email directly and offer to help on any questions or concerns which you have remaining … Best wishes.
I just saw your note on the Forum explaining how you’d looked forward to the Breakfast day but hadn’t realised you needed to sign. So I thought I’d come and take a look! Very nice. Amazing to think this is in Norwich. I always think of your city in terms of Norwich terriers compared to Norfolk terriers. One remember which is which by saying ‘ears up, like the cathedral = Norwich!)
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

Hi Denton! Thanks for swinging by Norwich. 10am – yeah, you, me and everyone else who live somewhere a bit less laid back.
