Blue Flower

These blue flowers looked so dainty. I’m certain someone out there will tell me what they are called. I found them in the Herb Garden at the Anglican Cathedral.

It looks like a delphinium, a beautiful perennial.

Hi Fenix. It is similar to delphinium, but it’s not it. But thanks for telling me about this other gorgeous blue flower.

Hi again, Joy. Now I’m very curious, too.
It looks so similar to the annual (non perennial) delphinium. If you follow the link, it’s the fifth picture from the top, Delphinium bicolor (Larkspur Delphinium).
They are so lovely. I planted some last year at the cottage.

Curioser and curioser! I know they look very similar, and I could be wrong, but I think it’s a different flower. Or maybe they belong to the same family. The flower I photographed is quite small, unlike the Delphinium, which is probably double its size. Thanks for dropping by again Fenix! And you’re lucky to have the Delphinium in your garden!

Beautiful flowers and photos (though I don’t know the name of them).
Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.

Hi Luke, neither am I - especially since this is the first time I’ve seen this flower and I haven’t really lived in the country for very long.
