Norwich Castle is one of Norwich’s most famous landmarks. It was built by the French from Normandy as a Royal Palace 900 years ago. It was used as a prison from the 14th century. The castle became a museum in 1894.

These blue flowers looked so dainty. I’m certain someone out there will tell me what they are called. I found them in the Herb Garden at the Anglican Cathedral.

Remember that view from my bedroom window? Well I thought I’d show you it again, but this time in a different light.

This is the main entrance to the Church of England Norwich Cathedral, but pedestrians are encouraged to use the other one, unless they want to get run over buy the vehicles that pass through here.

On the 6th of August I showed you a silhouette of this cathedral. Today I want you to see it in broad daylight.
St John’s is the second largest Catholic cathedral in the UK. After nearly a century as the parish church of the Catholic community in Norwich it became the mother church of the new diocese of East Anglia in 1976.
It now takes its place with its ‘elder sister’, the Anglican cathedral which is located in the centre of the city. Norwich is one of the few English cities to have two cathedrals.
