Half A House

half a house

If this building looks like it’s been sawed in half then that’s because it has been. A long time ago when the city had trams, they found that the trains couldn’t make the turn so decided to cut this house in half instead to make way for them. It’s no longer a house, but rather an office building.

I have been tagged again and this time by Medam of Colored Garden.

These are the rules:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. List eight (8) random facts about yourself.
3. Tag eight people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

Another 8 random facts about me:

1. Much as I love chocolates, I can only eat dark.

2. I stopped drinking sodas and anything fizzy at the age of 12.

3. I’m an incurable romantic.

4. My favourite dish is Italian.

5. I collect Barbara Cartland novels.

6. I’ve seen Cinema Paradiso close to 50 times!

7. I believe in soul mates and reincarnation.

8. I hope to try sky diving soon.

So now I am tagging:

1. Susan of Maple Ridge Daily Photo

2. Kalyan of Heaven’s Garden

3. Noemi of About My Recovery

4. Moi of Not By A Long Shot

5. Raquel of Kengkay

6. Lothiane of Oslo Daily Photo

7. LeRoy of LDissing

8. Chuckie

St Andrews Hall

st andrews hall

St Andrew’s & Blackfriars Halls were built over 600 years ago and were the home of the Dominican friars. Now fully restored, they are a magnificent city centre venue, ideal for weddings, conferences etc.

People hold their weddings here. It’s also ideal for conferences, exhibitions or concerts. There are facilities for 50-900 delegates/guests and there is full catering facilities and audio/visual equipment is available.

Thanks to John of Mainz Daily Photo I now have to reveal 8 random things about myself. Let me know if you find any of them interesting.

These are the rules:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. List eight (8) random facts about yourself.
3. Tag eight people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them).
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

And now the 8 random facts about me:

1. I am a certified advance scuba diver who can’t swim.

2. So far I’ve only visited 20 countries (though some of them I’ve done more than once). The goal is to visit 40 countries by the time I hit 40.

3. I’m a proud mother of two and their photos can be found here. I’m crazy about them!

4. I’m a pescotarian - which is pretty hard to explain to people, especially when ticking the right box on a menu for plane food. I eat seafood and veggie stuff only.

5. My ultimate goals are to become an international motivational speaker for women and set up literacy programmes for kids and adults in developing countries - starting with South America, which is my primary reason for learning Spanish.

6. Soon I hope to learn Italian.

7. I’m 12.5% Japanese (so my mother says) and 87.5% Filipino.

8. 8 is my lucky number :D

Now I have to tag 8 other people, and they are (trying to avoid those who have been tagged already - as much as possible):

1. Curly of South Shields Daily Photo

2. Curryegg

3. Dalicia

4. Old Man Lincoln of Brookeville Daily Photo

5. Tanty of Stavanger Photo

6. Mike of Quick Snap

7. Mary of Detroit

8. And of course Dive of Small Glass Planet

Have fun you guys!

Wild Man

wildman

One of the things that fascinates me about pubs is how lovely they look on the outside. Flower boxes adorn the Wild Man, and yet there’s nothing dainty about pubs inside. At least now the no smoking law is in place.

A true Irish pub. Delaney’s is located next to Expresso. So if you feel in need of a tall one - pop in next door!
