Expresso

expresso

If you want really good food to go or items for a nice picnic basket, I highly recommend Expresso. They have two shops - one is a delicatessen and the other is a cafe. You will find continental cheeses, wines, cakes and treats not recommended for those wanting to shed the pounds, sandwiches, biscuits, crackers and my personal favourite - smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel! It’s really worth a visit.

Britons Arms

britons arms

The Britons Arms was established in 1951. It’s a little place for people who want delicious food prepared and cooked daily on the premises. My friend Catty said that their cakes are delish. Every time I tried to eat cake there, they’re all gone!

Olive’s

olives

For lunch or dinner, Olive’s is a good place to eat. They mostly serve panini, sandwiches and pasta. They also have a good selection of wine. Can be found at the corner of Elm Hill and Magdalen St.

Yellow House

yellow house

This is my 100th post! Yay! So I thought I’d use a photo that conveys the type of pictures I enjoy. This is one of them.

This house reminds me of those I have seen in France, Malmo (Sweden) and Kehl (Germany). So pretty.

Courtyard Bar

courtyard bar

On Magdalen St you will find numerous restaurants, bars and pubs. The Courtyard Bar and Grill is one of them. What caught my eye of course was the building itself. It’s so reminiscent of centuries gone by.
