Yummy Oranges

It’s the 31st! Grab your oranges and 12 other round fruits to make sure you have a fruitful New Year. Well, that’s a Chinese tradition which we follow in Manila. Nothing to lose - you can still eat the fruits on the 1st day of the year. We use round fruits (though we’re not Chinese) because the shape symbolizes wealth.
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

What a splendidly healthy way to celebrate, Joy!
I’ve hunted around and have managed to find twelve round fruits and shall enjoy them today and tomorrow.
Whereas most people in this benighted country will merely be drinking twelve rounds.
Happy New Year to you!

Happy New Year from Sydney DP.
In the days before refrigeration and air transport, licky children in England would find an orange in their Christmas stocking….such an exotic fruit to have in winter in the northern cold season:-)
