Pretty In Pink

pretty in pink

Just look at that! Isn’t that the prettiest bank ceiling you’ve ever seen? You would think that pink would be nauseating in a place of business, but not this one. I quickly snapped a few, before the bank manager could tell me I wasn’t supposed to. Mind you, I did ask the Customer Adviser if I could and he said, “Certainly!”

And in the next few photos, Dive will help me explain what we’re looking at. He’s the expert!

Hee hee. We’re looking at the ceiling, Joy (an architect writes).
Actually, this is another of Norwich’s splendid early attempts at reinforced concrete construction, when it was all new and exciting and before things got boring.
This, plus M&S and the old Barclays building on Bank Plain are all concrete, faced up in stone or brick and made to look like period buildings. I wish we did more of that these days; the results can be marvellous (as we see from your photos).

Good luck with the op tomorrow!

I do wish we did! One thing about Norwich though, it’s so eclectic. Not sure at times that it’s as successful as it ought to be.

Thanks for the good wishes. :D

Very beautiful the roof, the drawings with blacks scale armor, liked always in the persons, strengthen the chromatic opposition and elect the pink colour of outlines and become more like in the criticisms.
Very good the eye of photographer

It really is nice ceiling, the details and its colour.
P.S. I have to say that I am very much glad that I listened to your Filipino magazine show. It really was interesting…and it was great that you got my message there. :-)) You know, you deserve all compliments that your guest Peter gave to you at the end of the show. I completely agree with him.

I noticed that Medam was listening when you mentioned Sarajevo online… Nice job!
For the time being, I’m living in Lisbon, as always and posting pictures from old trips. Still travelling, but not as much as previously; that’s why I’ve decided to post… ;))
    Have a grat week!
