Beyond The Door

I have no idea what this door leads to. Sometimes in my head, having such a fertile imagination, I think of something unsavoury that lies behind it. But that’s just me. This is a door that I found inside St Peter Mancroft.
What do you think this door keeps hidden?
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

I love churches and their architecture, especially the older ones. Is that a skull and cross bones on the bottom right hand side of the door? I think the room leads to a secret tunnel, underground passage that leads to a quick escape if someone needs to exit the church.
LOL! Yup!

There’s a chap who would have liked that to have been true!
Back in the early 90s, a man got locked into the church overnight by mistake. Fortunately it was Harvest Festival time, so there were at least a few apples to eat, but he was stuck in there until someone came to open up in the morning.
It got into the local paper.
