The Pod

I didn’t realise what this was until I read the sticker. It’s for people to donate to the church. I thought it looked like some pod out of an Austin Powers movie. I’m more used to the traditional wooden boxes.

From their site:
Dominating the west wall is the Collins organ, a modern, mechanical instrument installed in the church 20 years ago. The ringing chamber surmounts the organ and the loft houses the famous Mancroft bells.
It reminds me of the Bamboo Organ in my home city in the Philippines. That would be made of wood and the sound is just glorious!
When was the last time you were in church?

I have no idea what this door leads to. Sometimes in my head, having such a fertile imagination, I think of something unsavoury that lies behind it. But that’s just me. This is a door that I found inside St Peter Mancroft.
What do you think this door keeps hidden?

Here’s is another sign of spring. The bee is busy fleeting from flower to flower. I love these little pink flowers. Can anyone tell me what they are called?

I couldn’t believe when I saw how this photo I took a couple of days ago turned out. There are a number of trees now that are starting to blossom and against a blue sky, nothing could be lovelier. What do you think?
