Pigs Are Worth It

A few days ago there was a very quiet demonstration in front of The Forum. The pig farmers are asking supermarkets to pay them a fair price for their hogs.

I thought this kind of event was only an American thing. I had no idea somebody else in the world is not being fairly paid for their goods and services.

I’m sure they deserve what they’re asking for.

I’m glad that you posted this because we each need to think about this and what it means to our individual lives as well as the lives of those who produce goods and services for the rest of us.
Also I enjoyed browsing your recent posts.

Hi Joy,
I’m the new reporter at the Norwich Evening News, I get your updates on my Google Alerts and sometimes they are helpful for giving me story ideas.
I’m trying to get to know the town and the organisations and people in it a bit more as I’ve just moved to the area, and I was thinking that you might be a good person to introduce myself to.
If you come across anything that could make a story please do let me know as I am always interested in things that happen around Norwich.
Thanks very much,
Sam Emanuel

I agree, the big 4 supermarkets do rip all farmers & producers off, with Tescos being the worst. I always try to buy our vegetables from our local greengrocers or market.
