Scary Tree

scary tree

I don’t know why anyone would want to have this tree in their garden, but it sure scares the living daylights out of me. I know of houses that have a long line of it in fact. Why? Why? Why?

    It’s been pollarded, Joy.
It will grow back to its normal shape within a couple of years but in cities large trees often need pollarding every few years to stop them damaging surrounding houses.

It certainly doesn’t look very pretty; I bet the locals can’t wait for the new growth.

The green leaves should be appearing soon, so you’ll be able to sleep at night.

I was in Great Yarmouth this week. Some photos are on my site for your delectation.
