Giant Christmas Tree

This tree has been standing on this spot for a very long time now. But don’t ask me how long
Now, the reason I posted this was that I thought what a beautiful Christmas tree it would make – adorned with all sorts of baubles and fairy lights. Would be magical.
PS
When I say Christmas tree, I don’t mean being chopped down and sold to anyone. I mean the City Council could decorate it for the public to enjoy. They do have the resources to do that after all.
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

Is your house big enough… ?
Sure there would be a lot of space under the tree to put Christmas gifts under this tree…

It should be an amazing Christmas tree indeed.
Very nice image, Joy.

What a coincidence! I took a similar photo last weekend. It also reminded me of a Christmas tree. The tree on your photo looks so beautiful among those deciduous trees and against that lovely autumn blue sky. Beautiful photo!

If you gave the tree a choice of staying there and being alive and beautiful, or, being cut down and die and be decorated in gaudy lights I think I know the tree would run away if it was not anchored by its roots. I think it is odd that we take things out of context and try to make them look better than they really already are.
No. I would like the tree to remain until it dies a natural death of old age.

Hi Joy! I’m glad I could take some time to get to your wonderful blog! This time to be rewarded with a beautiful X-mas tree, provided you leave it there wher it is…

I also think it would make a nice Xmas tree being alive and still growing.

What a beautiful tree indeed. It has the look of a Redwood — do they grow there? And yes, it would be absolutely beautiful all decked out in lights.
