Derek & Joan

They say that when people are truly in love and one passes away, the other will shortly follow. In the case of Derek and Joan, they were only apart for 16 months and 22 days until they were reunited.
What are your thoughts on this?
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

A significant post, Joy.
I think that a Great Love never breaks, never dies: it lives eternally.

I didn’t expect these photos! These are the images we take for granted. The millions of stories embedded in those gravestones reflect our own stories, albeit in many different ways. It is fascinating how graveyards in England seem to be ‘alive’, resonating with the seasons. Come Christmas time, they will tell different and sometimes whimsical stories once again.
My graveyard photos are that of weddings, by the way. English brides can’t escape them!

Hi Joy! I just know that when my uncle passed away, my aunt lived only three more months…
Great series!
Meanwhile Blogtrotter is still in Tunisia, waiting for your comments at the Blue Village! Hope you enjoy and have a great week!

True love is not a “Till death do us part” thing but is for Eternity…
