Caramel Macchiato

I know, there is nothing extraordinary about a Caramel Macchiato. However, what was extraordinary was that I got this for free!!! In Norwich!
I walked into Starbucks and wanted a blended coffee drink – decaf, soy milk, no whip. And the reply was – “We don’t do that.”
However, the lady at the till had a brainstorm and decided to make me my own special blend. A shot of decaf coffee, some soy milk, a whizz in the blender and voila. I tried it but it needed some more flavour so she added this and that and it was a most enjoyable drink.
I offered to pay several times, but she said that it’s on the house. She said that if I really like it, I’d come back and order it again and pay for it next time. How kind!
I am many things - a life coach, a diversity champion, a freelance writer and translator, a dog lover, a citizen of the world, etc - but never thought of myself as a photographer. Norwich inspires me to capture snapshots of this fine Norman city. Take a trip down Norwich lanes or enjoy a walk in the park with me.

i like caramel macchiato, iced or hot!
i also like caramel frap, java chip, white choco mocha, dark mocha frap -always venti and twice blended. the pastries and bread of starbucks are not that bad too.
even here, starbucks baristas are courteous, the moment you’re not satisfied with the blend, they’ll replace it free, but it goes directly to the sink (sayang!)

Situations like this one you describe help restore a bit of faith in the human race! I can’t help but think, though, that you probably wouldn’t find very many such customer-oriented Starbucks employees in Florida…of course, I could be wrong.
Have a great day!

You got that for free? Wow!
I used to visit Starbucks in 2000 but gave up on it later as their price are getting higher…

I wouldn’t have that luck; don’t drink coffee, don’t enter Starbucks…
