The ruins of Sao Paolo are very interesting as the relief carvings show images relevant to BOTH Portuguese and Chinese tradition.

Macau is full of Portuguese details...you only have to know where to look.

Hope that helps

I would also say that Macau is full of Portuguese architecture existing side by side Chinese architectural styles. The Senado square is typical Portuguese and the wave paving is very Portuguese. The area around Sao Lazaro also is worth exloring for examples of Sino Portuguese architecture preserved and sensitively restored.
Old Macau is separate entirely from the casino area. the Senado square has been granto UNESCO World heritage ststus.

That's the Casino/Hotel Lisboa, one of the oldest casions in Macau. the Wynn Hotel is a modern and rather beautiful glass affair.
