On Magdalen St you will find numerous restaurants, bars and pubs. The Courtyard Bar and Grill is one of them. What caught my eye of course was the building itself. It’s so reminiscent of centuries gone by.

La Tasca is a Spanish tapas bar and restaurant. It has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Located on Tombland St, people come here for a nice bottle of wine or a pint, enjoyed with some tapas and shared with good friends.

Before this became Pedro’s, a Mexican-style restaurant, there used to be a great iron pavilion that was erected here in 1880. It was dismantled in 1949 because it became rusty and unsafe due to neglect.
The pavilion was a thatched timber building which people used to sit and watch their children play, and to shelter from the rain.
